Qwally launches a minority business directory with Mobile Chamber of Commerce

Qwally, a software platform for inclusive entrepreneurship, has announced the launch of its new platform with the Mobile Chamber of Commerce.

The Mobile Chamber chose Qwally to power Quick Connect, an online minority business directory. Quick Connect will help the Mobile community access the skills and talents of some of the brightest firms in the region. “We encourage minority business leaders to sign up and list their businesses in the Quick Connect Directory to increase their visibility and likelihood of success,” said Darrell Randle, VP of Small Business Development at the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.

Through Quick Connect, minority businesses can sign up and create a digital profile, link their social media, and connect with potential partners. Large firms and area residents can use Quick Connect to partner with qualified minority-owned firms. If you are a minority business owner and you would like to be featured, please sign up here.

The new launch is part of the Chamber’s commitment to supplier diversity, and builds upon a long legacy of small business support. Quick Connect will increase the visibility of minority owned businesses while connecting chamber partners with talented local firms. Overall, this will serve to help local companies support their DEI goals, while improving supplier diversity throughout the region.

Mr. Randle highlighted the importance of having a digital presence for small firms. “If COVID has taught us anything, it’s that every business owner must have an online presence,” he said. “Quick Connect is more than an online directory. It’s a portal designed to be a comprehensive or complete business development community for Minority Business Owners, their advocates and sponsors. All users will have access to potential vendors, contracting opportunities, training programs, promotional opportunities, local businesses and more.”

The Chamber is proud to offer free access to Quick Connect to the entire Mobile Community. You do not have to be a Chamber member to access the directory. If you are interested in sponsoring this initiative, you can learn more about sponsorship here.

“As a former small business owner, I know entrepreneurs have invested a lot of time and sweat equity in their businesses, and we want to help them take their business to the next level,” Mr. Randle said. “ I believe the Quick Connect system is the tool Mobile needs to build wealth and prosperity within the Mobile region and beyond.”

This launch is Qwally’s first partnership with a Chamber of Commerce, and represents a continuation of their work with the City of Mobile. The Chamber was impressed with Qwally’s user-friendly design, customer service, and deep roots in the community. Mobile was Qwally’s first municipal client; since the initial launch in 2019, Qwally has partnered with Mobile to develop new solutions for use across the country.

“We are proud to partner with the Chamber to bring Quick Connect to Mobile,” said Chris Offensend, CEO and Co-Founder of Qwally. “The Chamber was an early supporter of our work with the City of Mobile, and this partnership is a continuation of our commitment to supporting supplier diversity and small business success in the region.”
